Optenni Lab 1.3 Released

Version 1.3 of Optenni Lab has been recently released, containing e.g. the following new features and improvements:

  • A new licensing scheme supporting both node-locked and floating network licensing. With floating network licenses a workgroup can install Optenni Lab on all their computers and the Optenni Lab license server restricts the maximum number of simultaneous users according to your subscription.
  • A two-way link with CST STUDIO SUITE™ (more information below).
  • A number of smaller improvements.

New features are constantly developed for Optenni Lab. Please let us know if you have any suggestions for new functionalities that you would like to see in our future versions.

A two-way link with CST STUDIO SUITE™

Optenni Ltd has developed in collaboration with CST AG (Computer Simulation Technology AG) a two-way link between Optenni Lab and CST STUDIO SUITE™ for designing matching circuits for antennas and other RF components based on 3D models simulated using CST’s electromagnetic simulation software.

By a single macro command, impedance results from CST MICROWAVE STUDIO® and CST DESIGN STUDIO™ simulations can be quickly transferred to Optenni Lab for matching circuit generation and other analysis of the simulated impedances. Optenni Lab provides fully automatic matching circuit generation and optimization routines where the user only needs to specify the desired frequency ranges and number of components in the matching circuit. After a couple of seconds multiple optimized matching circuit topologies are presented to the user. The optimized matching circuits can be returned to CST DESIGN STUDIO™ with just a single mouse click. The whole process of transferring data and generating the matching circuits takes only a few tens of seconds.

Optenni at AP-S/URSI 2011

Meet Optenni Ltd at the exhibition of the 2011 IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation and USNC/URSI National Radio Science Meeting on July 3-8, 2011 in Spokane, Washington, USA. We would be glad to demonstrate our Optenni Lab software to you. Please bring your own antenna impedance data in Touchstone format and see what Optenni Lab can find out from it!
